THEN AND NOW - LIVE EVENT AT ST. PAUL’S BLOOR STREET
WEDNESDAY, MAY 14th, 2025

We are thrilled to host the second live event in our Then and Now series on May 14, 2025 at St. Paul’s Bloor Street Church.

The event will feature insights from The Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Centre, live testimony from a Holocaust survivor, as well as personal accounts from descendants of the Righteous Among the Nations – courageous gentiles who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust. We will also hear from descendants of individuals who were hidden and who are here today because of these selfless and heroic acts of our valiant allies. Through these deeply personal stories, we aim to educate, inspire and empower allies to take a stand against hate and build a future rooted in unity and mutual respect.
Join us for this unforgettable evening as we honour survivors, reflect on history, and reaffirm our commitment to combating antisemitism through interfaith dialogue and collective action.

MORE LIVE VERSIONS:

We are also exploring opportunities to bring our live event to more various places of worship and institutions. If you or anyone you know is interested in hosting a live version of our "Then and Now" program - which focuses on the historical and contemporary parallels of antisemitism and emphasizes the need for unity and solidarity - please contact us.
THEN AND NOW: A FILM PROJECT

We are in the process of producing Then and Now, a film intended as a teaching tool for churches, schools, and various institutions. This project reflects our dedication to providing resources that educate and inspire interfaith understanding.

The film will explore historical and contemporary parallels of antisemitism and highlight the stories of the Righteous Among the Nations — non-Jewish individuals who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust. Through these narratives, we aim to inspire allies to lend their voices, fostering a deeper understanding of the importance of combating hate and promoting unity in today’s world.
